What do you do and what do you love about your role?
As a Sleep Expert, my role is to combine my background in clinical psychology and sleep science with my skills in product development to help Sleep Cycle users make sustainable health improvements through better sleep. I love that my role allows me to impact all parts of the product, from design to commercial initiatives. I also think that “Sleep Expert” sounds cool ;)
How would you describe Sleep Cycle?
Innovation, collaboration and engagement.
The slogan of outdoor brand Salomon, “Let’s play”, really resonates with my philosophy when it comes to work, and life in general. I believe you can explore your limits with curiosity rather than grit and that there is something to enjoy in every challenge.
Why should a prospective candidate choose Sleep Cycle as an employer?
Working at Sleep Cycle, you get the chance to really make a difference in the everyday lives of millions of users around the globe. And you get to do so in collaboration with a bunch of curious, devoted and passionate people.
How do you preferably spend a Saturday evening?
I spend a lot of time with my husband and children during the week, so my perfect Saturday evening would be meeting friends for dinner somewhere, perhaps in a restaurant that I haven’t tried before. I love to eat good food and talk for hours about life and relationships (I am a psychologist after all). I prefer an early start to the evening though, as I need my hours of sleep before my baby wakes me up at 04:30. “
